For anyone that is looking for a way to add negative camber but stay within the rules, Whiteline has brought (back?) out a set of rear LCAs that are budget friendly, use poly bushing and may be just what you are looking for.

What are you STXers running for tires this year? Noticing mostly everyone is switching over from Falkens and Yoks to the new Stones here locally in street and street touring.

245/40/17 Yoks used to be the ticket in street touring, but I'm thinking we might see a mix up of Yoks/Stones at spring nats.

Crows Landing had the top two on Bridgestones... so they look like the top tire even for camber limited cars now.

Meh, it’s preference imho, crows pro was won on yokes by a big margin and Heitkotter would still win on tiger paws. I think the stones hold up to heat better and are more responsive, but if you like a more forgiving tire like the BFG then the yoke is better. We’re probably going to finish off our yokos from last years nats and be on Bridgestone the rest of the year. 245/40/17, might try a different size after nats.
@cmiovino with a ‘17+ I’d consider 255 for the gearing, or 265/35/18 on 18x9 if you haven’t bought wheels yet. That’s assuming courses with higher speeds where hitting 60-62 in second is worth building for

In a 19, so 255/40R17 Stones are working for me. Thought about 255 Yoks, but several STX folks warned me off of them due to transient performance.

Yeah, it's Yoks or Stones at this point. The 660s are a good budget option and what I recommend to people who aren't super serious, but there's a reason they're cheaper. I've been seeing some mix and match, Stones up front and Yoks in the back. I've also heard that the Stones may be ageing out before they wear out, not as bad as the 660s, but also not as good as the Yoks. Time will tell with those though.

@foshjowler that would be wild considering the oldest re71rs you can get is barely a year old.

I have 98 runs and maybe 1500 street miles on my set of stones from February, and they still feel the same as my new set to my fingernails. They are all within 4-5/32nds. Debating running them again at the South Texas Tour this weekend.

It's just grumblings that I've heard, but I do know a number of people that go through 2-3 sets of tires a year. Again, I don't think it's terrible, but of note for those trying to be at the pointy end of the national events.

I don't think those grumblings are true, seems like most people are finding them fastest shortly before they cord

Assuming proper alignment for even wear.

I disagree with your assessment that "mostly everyone" is switching and your view of the Crow's tour is off. Bryan was smashing everyone on Nexens a few years ago because he's just that fast. They seem pretty evenly matched with the temperatures being more of the differentiator. The Bridgestones are more heat tolerant than the Yokohamas so as we head into the summer months if you don't see them pull ahead I would say the Yoks are still the better tire.

I have a new set of wheels on the way and am going to pick up a set of Bridgestones and do back to back testing out at Packwood throughout the year so will see how that goes.

I feel that from the STU days. Would have a couple jackets had he decided not to show up a couple times :P
