It is a bit much. Personal taste aside the only time *I* think canards work is when the rest of the bodywork its extreme and the car is in full race mode. Wide body, aluminum wing, ect.
In this case the thing that stood out to me the most is the canards against the lip. The canards are huge compared to the lip and the outer ones overhang. The lip on the FRS is pretty snug to the body, make the canards as well and it should tone it down. I don't think you could go with a bigger lip as it may just create an extreme disproportion to the rear of the car. Unless the JP VIP style is your thing? The purpose being to save weight when members such as "TyperRspec789" have proven these hoods save next to nothing or/0.2lbs vs the stock hood? |

I agree with painting the hood and keep vents unpainted. Also since your headlights are blacked out, take those eyelids off. Other than that, it looks good.

Alright think I'll just remove the eyelids and the tint off the headlights and keep the hood and the canards the way they are, think it'll go down on the "overkill" situation. |

I'd paint the hood and remove the eye lids.

So the eyelids are the odd ones out? because they just don't look good on our cars mainly or because it's out of sync?

IMO I think she looks nice. Throw a turbo on that thing to represent and you got a looker. If I wanted a car that looked like an everyday sedan than I would get an Audi S4. Oh wait already got one of them and that thing smokes em :-) Its your car and your story!

Well FI is coming soon but I'm taking it easy for the first low xx,xxx miles. Haha! This is why I'm really not tempted to remove the eyelids and just want to keep the car the way it is now. Still haven't looked at the car in daylight but I'll try to take a pic in the morning/afternoon and post it, sometimes it differs, I like how the weaves of carbon fiber change like hologram or something that's why I don't want to paint the hood but if the eyelids and tint on the headlights are killing it then oh well guess I'll have to remove them for the sake of not painting the hood or removing the canards. |

I think you can keep the hood, definitely lose the eyelids and maybe the canards next to the grill. the outer canards actually look functional.
