Exactly what will/won't be the same between the AS1 models?
Did a search for this already but since it's kind of a general question and there's been so much rumors back and forth, hopefully someone can answer this for me.
Exactly what components will or won't be the same between the Subaru and Toyota/Scion version? Am I right in saying that they'll have the same exact suspension, wheel bores, transmission, and electronics, while having different engines and cosmetics ? Anything else I'm missing? I'm not familiar with Toyota/Subaru engines. Will the engines be completely different or just that one will be a more hopped up version of the other? Thanks for taking it easy on a noob, and I'm happy to be here at the best site for this car I've seen! |

Sounds like I found the answer to my question in this C&D review: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2070
So if the facts in that article are right (and I assume they should be since it's from interview with the AS1's senior engineer), then that means all mechanicals will be the same between the cars, and only cosmetics like exterior and wheels will be different? This reminds me of the Eclipse/Talon DSM cars from the 90's. |
