Happy Easter to you too, big guy -

Which reminds me, I have to get the eggs hidden before 5 this afternoon. Each year it gets harder to "hide" them -

by the time i was 8, my parents gave up on hiding them, and started focusing on sticking them in obscure places. i suggest you use more duct tape.

Hey random thoughts. Quick little update from me.

I've found the love of my life, am engaged, planning to buy a house within the year. Things have never been better.

Have recently fallen out of love with the FRS and am looking to a C5 corvette as a summer car and will be using the FRS as a winter beater.

What's new with y'all?

Awesome news.

I know someone that has the 'vette/FRS combo and seems to quite like it. Sounds like a good plan!

i found the divergent series bluray on the sale rack yesterday, rewatching all of them..

it's so screwed up-- everyone sorted by Genetically Pure and Genetically Damaged. and i can completely see our society doing it, which is what makes it so ominous.

Yeah, i mean people sorting out by genetics? That's never happened.

Sorry, Divergent is a teen girl's gattica, which is a scifi version of just plain old racism and bigotry.

School is good!

OK, solve this algebra word problem and I'll proficiency you into statistics.

The sum of three consecutive positive integers is 111. You need to determine what the three integers are. Write an equation which shows how you could solve the problem? What are the 3 integers?

You must show your work. This is NOT an open book (internet) test. This is a timed test. Get set - GO!

https://socratic.org/questions/the-s...e-the-integers

See the entire solution process below:

Explanation:
First, let's call the first integer:
i

Because they are consecutive integers the other two integers are:

i
+
1
and
i
+
2

Their sum is
111
so we can write:

i
+
i
+
1
+
i
+
2
=
111

We can now solve as follows:

i
+
i
+
i
+
1
+
2
=
111

3
i
+
3
=
111

3
i
+
3

3
=
111

3

3
i
+
0
=
108

3
i
=
108

3
i
3
=
108
3

3
i
3
=
36

i
=
36

Therefore:

i
+
1
=
37
and
i
+
2
=
28

The three consecutive integers whose sum is 111 are:

36
,
37
,
38
