How's turbo with a 2.5 exhaust?

I have since gone to a single exit 3" front pipe back with an HKS muffler on it and have been overboosting by about 1psi more than with the 2.5". My costs for the upgrade were $50, so once the temps warm back up I'll need a tune revision, but I expect that the 3" will take me over 300dynojet whp. I prefer the N1 sound, but at this point I'd rather not compete on looks with people who have spent less than me on o ly exterior mods, so I am switching gears to only care about making power safely.
My goals from the beginning were 300whp, so unless I go bigger turbo or E85 I am pretty happy with my setup on stock fuel system with pump gas.

I was bitten with the turbo bug so badly that I am now collecting parts to build my beater to 300whp lol
Seems like having a modded BRZ only V8seant to run me, so I'd rather have a sleeper mode as well.
The sleeper factor is like no other

The only reason I ask is because I ordered a 2.5" Dezod catback last week, still hasn't gotten here, and I have heard that to run turbo on the brz a 3" is highly recommended.

I still haven't made my decision on going turbo but I wanted to see if I could down the road with the exhaust.

Has the 2.5" Invidia given you problems with turbo?

I've been running a 3" DP with 2.5" exhaust from overpipe back with no troubles for 23k miles. Would be interesting to see the gains on a 3" for sure, but there should be no pressure to switch as I expect to hit 500whp anyway. And the 3" would add so much noise...

Know what'd be great, if you had your mod list in signature or something so we could know what you are running exactly, I mean 325whp so obviously you're running FI but I have no idea what type/brand.

just my 2 cents that applies to all that post dyno sheets. It just makes it easier for people to know what you have under the hood getting you up to those numbers.

for a turbo car? not really no, I'm supercharged with a c38 kit and if I don't pass the 275whp (peak) mark on a heartbreaker dyno I think I'm jumping off a bridge

7psi on a TD05-20G on pump gas is ~250whp. 10 psi is around ~280whp on pump Gas (where I am at right now). 12 psi on E85 is ~345whp on a conservative tune. Not all FI is the same. Very Happy with my purchase and the power output. I have room to make 400whp if necessary.
