OK, took the car to PSI today to have the baseline power documented...

Strapping her onto the Dynojet

Digging for the hard-to-reach coil wire!

The coil wire is WAY down there!

One of the three dyno runs in 4th gear.

Isn't that Starbuck from BSG's brother's place?

Also, I'm starting to think these cars come a bit detuned DAM wise and gain a bit of hp during the ECU learning process. My car definitely feels faster than it did when I got it and I am noticing peoples dyno numbers are significantly higher with some mileage on them.

PSI dyno was used just a few days ealier the day before to put down numbers from a loaned FR-S that had very few miles on it.
http://tunedbypsi.com/blog-entry.php...R-S-at-PSI-449

The power output of the car with a few miles: 165/138 vs my car with 1000+ miles 171/141. So it does appear that the car does tune itself over the break-in period.

Starbucks? BSG's brother? Huh?

I'm pretty sure its owned by the brother of Katee Sackhoff, the actress who played Starbuck in the Battlestar Gallactica Series.

Oh, I was going through all of my photos trying to find one with a Starbucks in the background... I never watched BG but I heard it was pretty decent.

I've never dyno'd a car before but if I'm not mistaken..... shouldn't this have been done in 5th gear due to its 1.000 ratio?

I'm not a dyno expert either, but I don't know if the gear that you are in makes that much of a difference or not. I just found this topic about it, though:

Nice numbers! I need to run mine.

It should be run in the gear closest to a 1:1 ratio. IIRC, running it in 5th would have given you a slightly higher number.
