Junk ( groceries ) In The Trunk, But Trapped!!

Has anyone else experienced this? I put my groceries in the trunk and headed home last night. Upon arriving home, I found my trunk failed to open. I went back to the cockpit and pressed the internal release and there was no pressure, so I thought to myself, "Duh, it's already open!" A trip to the rear of the car verified it in fact was not! WTF?? I found the external lock and gained access, but it was a "dark challenge!" Yay owner's manual! Only me??

No, it's happened to several folks. Something rolled and hit your trunk valet lock button. Next time tie your bags so stuff can't come loose, or get one if those bag holders or a crate to keep stuff from flopping around.

Kudos for solving the problem though, most folks with it have to come here and ask what to do.

your groceries knocked into the trunk/valet lock on the inside left side.
You can try something like this to keep the groceries from sliding around and accidentally hitting that button.

*EDIT* lol, good thing I went back and looked, price has dropped significantly. $4.05 + free shipping. Got two, so I could mount them side by side.

Cheaper (current) listing:

And how I'm going to mount it without drilling:
