I live here and I haven't gone on the Hornet tour yet. I'm afraid of ghosts!

Lol, not sure if it was just the tour guide that we got, but the "ghost tour" that me and my co-workers did at the hornet was a complete joke. The tour was: walk down dark hall, tell semi creepy story, sit in dark, move to next area, rinse & repeat. In the end, we were bored and complained to the organizer and got vouchers for another tour. The "military"/space tour was way more interesting and informative, talking about all the air craft in the lower level and the space craft missions, etc.

Cant go wrong with Alameda Naval Base. But if you guys do decide to hit up the Bay Area, plenty of us would be willing to meet with you guys out there. Most of us are located within a 30 min drive of that area.

Oh there is no doubt I am hitting up the Hornet and O'brien with or without Ultra! We will most likely do an overnighter in the Bay area. Just waiting on some plans to firm up. At this point it looks like a Tuesday evening meet in the bay area and a possibly a Wednesday evening one in Sacramento.

Just let us know and we will make it work. Bay Area traffic is brutal during the week so we will try and figure out a location that works for most

Ok so here is the draft plan. Due to Ultra's flight schedule we have to move things up a day.
I propose an early departure on Monday morning.
Go to San Francisco and can meet any night workers for lunch somplace.
Tour either the Hornet or the Jeremiah O’Brien.
Meet up someplace for dinner in the evening.
Stay over night.
Tour whichever ship we didn't do (or even squeeze in a couple) on Tuesday morning.
Head to Scaramento to meet with that crowd for dinner and then head back to Reno.
Be whirlwind tour.
