Today I installed a couple of TRS items the upgarde does not come with:

1. TRD Shift Knob

2. TRD Fuel Cap Cover

And, my only non-TRD part so far - Monster Mats (to keep the OEM ones for when/if I ever sell the car)

Tomorrow I'm installing the Rally Armor mudflaps - my only other non-TRD part.

I have the TRD sound changer set to play with too but need to learn from @Nafe how to install them.

@nzer
Ok dude, so I have never written a DIY guide before, but here goes :P
You will need a pair of pliers, a rachet and 12mm socket.
1. First removed the right hand (drivers side) strut bar but removing the 3x12mm nuts and 1x 12mm bolt.
2. you need to access the first joint in the sound generator system, after the generator itself. refer diagrams. The pliers are required to move the clip out of the way, and then pull the hose off as gently as you can, as not to damage anything.
It is in the highlighted area, but just out of vision:

Here is a close up, the first pic ws to show you the area to look
Move the clip that the arrow points at.

Removing this join makes the rest easier. This isn' the part you replace with the TRD part.
3. The fiddly part is coming up now. The hose/sound tube now enter the cabin through the firewall. It is quite literally underneath the steering column. It is impossible to really see, so just follow the hose with your fingers. The picture below highlights the area it is in. After removal, feel for the grommet in the firewall. This is only to help you get a better idea of where it is, do not remove the grommet.

4. Now remove the grey sound tube from the hose. Take not as to how it is fitted, as you will need to fit the TRD part the same way. Don't fret, there is a mark on the hose you can line up with the casting seam of the TRD part. I apologise, I haven't got pics of this as I didn't take any while doing it. Kit is quite straight forward, however the sound tube is a bit of a pain to remove :P
5. Feel around again for the grommet to locate it, and refit the tube as close to the original position as possible. You can twist it a little once fitted to line up if required. This was the trickiest bit as you can't see shit!!
6. reassemble other components in reverse order.
7. go for a drive and bask in the awesome cabin noise!!

Hope this is helpful dude

Tried to install the rally armor mudflaps today but with the TRD kit on the brackets mean they stick out in a funny way. I could get a different bracket made but have decided not to bother.

Damn!

I just installed the trd sound changer and it was pretty easy although when your plugging your new changer in your flying blind to position the new changer back into the hole. But you'll persevere : )
