any feedback on STI tS Longer steering rack bolts on a Daily Driver

Hi All,
i have been looking for feedback on STI tS Longer steering rack bolts on a Daily Driver, but have only found the part numbers for the bolts.

could someone provide feedback in sti ts steering rack bolts for the community. curios if the bolts alone make a difference or if the STI bushings ?

tbh, this all seems to be a gimmick to me. you're paying for the STI branding on a regular bolt that you can pick up for a few dollars. I recommend you spending your money on something else, but that is just my opinion. if anything, the Perrin steering rack lockdowns would contribute more, but I still think that it is only minimal ($89 for something you might not even need)

I have the bolts, but with the stiffer bushings. Well, I also have the lockdowns too.

You don't just need the bolt, you need the spacer and nut on the other end too - they are all a set.

I don't think you can pick this bolt up from the hardware store. Its sized perfectly to length for the hollow tunnel through the subframe designed for this bolt - it is meant to be there. Its sized so perfectly to length that when you insert the spacer and the nut, there are only two or three threads left on the bolt.

I've been daily driving on it for over a year, if you appreciate improvements in steering feel and don't mind the bucks, its a good investment.

call me skeptical, but I just don't understand how you can feel the difference of a bolt in normal driving scenarios apart from a controlled lab test. the steering rack is already tight and even though the STI kit is supposed to make it tighter, I still think that I would not be able to tell a difference. there's a lot of variables that come into play such as surface, tires, weather, etc before it gets to the actual bolt you swapped out.

however, if it works for you and you like it then that's all that matters

delrin is solid, literaly and figuratively, may get it over the lockdown kit, i have the entire set, bolts, washer, nuts, and philosophically, it seems like if you fixate the rubber oem bushings in two fixed placed with longer bolts, instead of one, it may tighten up the steering feel, so was curious if this is true in practice, i did just install the grimmspeed strut tower brace for now and have the TRD door kit in que to help with steering. will report after some time, but as noted, these small changes may be hard to depict when daily driving.

i guess my thoughts are to make minimal changes from OEM for greatest impact; so thinking bolts only for 2 points of anchoring (vs 1) and keeping stock bushings.

Grimmspeed strut bar is a noticeable change to me. The TIC aluminum steering rack bushings were the same level of noticeable change for me. The stock rubber is so soft and the tolerances so loose between the stock metal bushing tube and rolled cut thread fasteners that it has a weird mid corner behavior, more noticeable on grippy tires. Much more linear and predictable behavior once the tolerances and rack movement are better controlled with a proper solid bushing system, no weird mid corner behavior. The TRD door stabilizer latches are something i want to get.
