1. Make it a hatchback like it suppose to have.
2. Use a better engine smoother. The s2000 engine reving to 9k would more fun. In today’s era making something to match an engine decades ago shouldn’t be hard.
3. More leg room for kids would be nice.
4. Don’t gain weight.
5. How about upgrading headunit with Xm CarPlay and Android auto so I don’t feel the car is from 2005?

Pretty sure 1, 2, 3, pretty much exclude 4. 5 is most likely a wash.

Making an engine from decades ago today is not only hard it is damn near impossible. By the time they changed them enough to meet emissions and mileage requirements those engines would be almost useless. There are valid reasons why they don't use them anymore.

What? My BRZ comes with all that. Are you saying the most expensive 86 doesn’t?

You can get that head unit plug and play for around $700 if those things are a requirement.

When I was shopping new twins the BRZ was around $2kaud more than a GTS 86.

As a head unit with features was low on my requirements the BRZ priced itself out.

Mine is a 2017 Limited Edition 86.

https://www.caradvice.com.au/590401/...dition-review/

There was no way I could have got the deal I got buying my 86 with a new a BRZ.

I took Brembo's over a head unit with some added stuff, and paid alot less.

On topic: Brembo's for all models.

I was just saying making a high rev engine with a smooth curve. Porsche increases the power and redline on their GT3 every new model change. Not asking for a crazy motor but this car is all about driving feel.

Correct, that’s why for the Toyota they should add that.

Probably one of the reason the Toyota is more inexpensive to purchase. Subaru doesn’t have much room to negotiate.

Oh in that case I am sure they could. For Porsche prices.

Just look at that beautifully smooth curve. Oh wait what happens at 3500 rpm? Is that...a dip?
