Alright for all that have signed up for this I just got word from GSpeed that MSR Cresson is playing hard ball.

We will only get 2 - 20 minute sessions for all of us. That means all 25 people on track at the same time and only 2 sessions.

GSpeed and I are rather annoyed at the answer we have received from MSR. Let me know your thoughts on this, if enough of yall are still interested this will happen.

That is no good. I don't think I am willing to do it under those circumstances.

It's not a great situation for either novice or advance drivers as the speed discrepancies will be large. Advanced folks will be very frustrated and constantly being held up and novice folks will be frustrated and scared with people closing in at rapid closing rates.

Yeah, as much as I was looking forward to this. I just don't think it'd be smart for me to bring my car out

This decision surprises me at bit. How many have been on this track before and how many haven't? I can't imagine this would be safe.

I want this to be a positive for everyone involved but not separating experience to some degree concerns me.

Is the issue price, scheduling or etc. I was really looking forward to coming out. I might still come out to meet people, but my initial instinct is not to drive the car.

I have to agree. This would be my first track day, and not separating the groups I assume would be very frustrating for the advanced drivers.

The only way to get around this would be to separate the groups and each group only get a single 20 session. I would guess this would also be a point of "not worth it". I completely understand what yall have said and agree.

The issue is that MSR Cresson is rather stiff on the rules and will not work with GSpeed at all for this event. They just wont do anything to help so far. It could be the date but i'm not sure, the price is set by GSpeed based on what they have to pay MSR so that's not the issue here.

I can talk to GSpeed and look at a different weekend with hopefully more/split sessions. If yall would still be interested but in for a different date let me know.

How about we ask everyone what their experience is to understand what we're dealing with ?

We could ask. I know for a fact that 10 or so people are rather advanced and run the 1.7 CCW in under 1:30 which is decently fast. 5 of those are more in the 1:27 range and I think we even have 1 in the 1:25 range. These time are rather good for this track.

I also know that we have a good amount that have only been on track a few times. Now how these people will react to someone pushing them to get out of the way IDK. Usually the less experienced just sit there and wont let people pass (granted this shouldnt be an issue as rules are slightly different with passing with these "focus days").

With the amount of people already saying they would be out IDK that a poll for track experience would help. But why not, I guess.

What is everyone's experience with MSR Cresson or tracking??

I agree with everything said above. I'd still come out but would be hesitant to drive in that large group.

To the point @Bramick made this would be my third time at MSR but only second time with my brz.

Only been on eagle canyon once and I learned that you need to tighten some hoses down if you're boosted... However, I do know how to point to pass, but never been to MSR.

If it's 1 or 0, I'll show up and hope for the best, but just doesn't seem "smart"

This is my first time to a track and I would have to back out as well with the new arrangements.
