Eh, you're paying a premium for what most people who modify cars can do for 3 grand.

Torque dip moved lower into the rev range is a positive feature IMHO. More power where you need it: in the mid and top-ranges. This car has never needed low-end simply due to the ratios [yeah obviously its low-end is low as dirt, but it always felt fine (lol torqueless wonder)].

If it would be 230 at the wheels then it would be worth it... 230 at the crank for badges, fuck it

OpenFlash and their related products can do something similar for about 2500. With careful purchasing and a Tactrix Ecuflash, you can do it for even less. With e85, you can crap all over this.

Air Filter: $50
Thermostat: $100

Total: $3625 (shelf tune) or $3925 (dyno tune)

Cosworth 1.3 retail: $5250

Difference: $1625 or $1325

Benefits? Cosworth keeps your factory warranty, Doing it yourself keeps $1325+ in your pocket for other stuff.

I can see choosing either way. To some upgrading under warranty is a major factor/benefit. To others its meaningless.
You missed out the midpipe due to the different design for cosworth so that is another 500.

Nice work Simon!

Without the ability to keep the factory warranty the Cosworth package is clearly overpriced.

Maybe they can convince Subaru or Scion sometime in the near future. If not I don't see them having much success.

It may actually be better for FI due to the pipe size, hence the miniscule drop from stock for 300rpm and big gains for NA from 3800rpm and up.

I'm not going to lie, I would love to have Cosworth badged parts on my car. Cosworth is a premium brand that produces premium quality motor sports dedicated parts. Would I ever pay that price just to have bolt on parts with their name on them? That is a different story (unless my pay grade was much higher). I see these parts being great for the person who will essentially leave the rest of the car stock minus some high quality suspension and wheel parts and drive this car sparingly. If someone looking twin 10-15 years down the road that had just these tasteful mods done to it with low milage and a low serial numbered Cosworth badge shouting out at them, someone will pay a few thousand bucks more.

Now when they start releasing engine internals, the parts that so-so quality just doesn't cut it, the money spent would be a no brainer to me.

So are people complaining that Nameless stuff costs too much?
Or are they saying the extra ~800 - 1000 for Cosworth branding/R&D is too much?

For those actually interested, we are a Cosworth dealer and shouldn't have a problem getting these parts. It may be possible to get better pricing as well as great pricing for installation.
