I'm sure you can go to the dmv and have them look up people in the area registered with a black wrx. probably the easiest and quickest way to do it. show someone that works at the dmv the video and the scratches on your car. I'm sure they'll look it up for you.

Too many WRX in so cal. DMV = long lines + fees, it's rare for them to give anything for free...someone in the subaru community will spot him eventually. His ebay mods are really obvious.

All dashboard cameras have pretty wide angle lens. From the rear mirror, it could see all your front hood.
