if you make those cranking ipw changes be carefull adding to much petrol as well as it will likely make it run too rich and make starting hard as those changes add more fuel during cranking only.

i di not zero the compensation table but it does not get rearly cold here, also try with out comp table zeroed out.

if it fires up on second crank thats fine.

try lettng fuel pumps prime as well by leaving foot off clutch two presses on button then depress clutch and start. or if your key start turn full on wait a couple of seconds then crank.

Thanks Steve. I actually loaded a map for no IPW changes as well. I'll give that a try today.

Okay so this is my first tank of e85 for the season, she took 11.1 gallons of e85 which leaves about 2.1 gallons of 93 in the tank.
IAM, AFR, FLKC and Knock Correction all look healthy.

Fuel trims are still a little wacky in the negative, I'm assuming from the 2 gallons of 93 mixed in?

Should I be concerned with the KC Learned numbers? What is Knock Correction Learned? Are there actual knock events happening or is this preventative?

Thanks!!

When I hd two gallons of 91 in my tank, start up was fine. Once I did a complete e85 fill up, that's when I started getting start up issues. Let me know if your startup is still fine on your second tank!

KC Learned is values is Knock Correction Max A table multiplied by IAM minus - knock correction.

Much easier to look at
IAM should be 1
FLKC
FBKC

for knock indication.

So then so far she looks pretty healthy, yes? Aside from the deep negative fuel trims...

negitive fuel trims result from adding petrol as it makes engine run rich when on E85 and ECU compensates by reducing fuel trim values.

as long as it not way over 10% it should be ok.

do a couple of light say 20% steady throttle runs in 2nd or 3rd from 2500 to 5000rpm will reset fuel trims

yeah right now I have about a 5.5:1 e85:93 mix

A little under half a tank now so it should stabilize once I get more e85 in it…not bad for winter blend in the Northeastern US

Ran this weekend with original cranking IPW table and the car started up much much better on the first attempt. So I basically used Malt's tables minus the cranking ipw one.

I kept shiv's extra Cranking IPW Comp A, on E85-E93.

I took the stock cranking and multiplied:
<=86 *1.3
104 *1.2
122 *1.1
140 *1.05

Chilly 23* morning, started up on first try! Legit e85, little-to-no petrol-mix

Maybe a noob question, but how come your values can be so low compared to both stock OTS map and my modified cold weather E85 map (see attached photo)???
