It's still fun to poke fun at Miatas, though, but not in any seriousness.

If I had the funds immediately available, I'd try and pick up a mid 90's used manual miata and make her a project track car. First thing would be to put in seats with proper side bolstering, though

I've been contemplating picking this one up off Craigslist... the guy put 20k into it. Supercharged, water injection, lots of potential. The only bad thing is the handheld unit for the piggyback ECU is broken. I read where you can use a palm pilot instead. Cool stuff, but outdated 90's technology. Would be fun to pick up and megasquirt... a little beyond my expertise though.

Seems like a good price assuming that the supercharger install wasn't so ham handed that the engine will blow. 12 lbs does seem to be pushing it. The nice thing about miatas is how cheap parts are, so rebuilding wouldn't be too bad.

Although the seller does seem a little bombastic about the extent of his mods. "Doing everything" on a miata looks more like this:

Megasquirt DIY kit ftw. If you solder it your self your looking at around 400-450 iirc. Add a wideband on top and life is great.

Most painless $600 I've ever spent... which makes sense considering I actually spent it June of last year -> http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=59189

Any of you guys who have modded your ride height recall what the stock distance was between center of wheel and the fender ?

I need to make some ride height adjustments and want to ensure the difference between front and back is at least somewhat similar to stock, thus keeping the weigh balance the same.

I recall finding these numbers on here previously, but cant find the thread now....

@Ninjin did somewhere in this thread.

I personally shifted the height until I got to a balance i liked. I ended up with a slightly lower rear end, but i did have more power than stock and your suspension setup will be drastically different than mine.
