Question Bike Rack Options?

I'm looking at getting a bike rack and it seems like the SeaSucker is the best option but it is a little pricey ($300). I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions that aren't so expensive.

I'd trust that to do two things, pull paint off and leave your bike on the road under a truck.
Edit: Three things, tear up your car trying to get the bike in the rack.

those do have a following the road bike community, a lot of high end car owners use them.

but i don't like the concept of my heavy mountain bike being supported by my rear glass.

If you have a quickly removable front wheel, bikes will fit in the trunk.

I've used the Seasucker for years and it has never once come loose. Drove for hours and it was fine. Just keep it under 70mph.

I will warn you, however, it will leave a nice crease in your roof. Oh well.

I have the curt hidden hitch...only thing visible is the square tube right under the triangle light. I use a saris hitch rack. I use a rubber cover to hide it a little when not in use. While its not aesthetically pleasing, its function is worth way more to me.
