no idea.. thats something you would have to talk to Matt on.. I know the lockup rate and the decel rate.. and that I can definitely feel the difference ...

Car is ready to go for the 2014 season with some new goodies and also refining the old stuff.

New: Guard Transmission Rear LSD

As well as new Adj rear Lower Control Arms :

Tweeked the alignment settings a bit..

and....oh yeah.. installed the 'Claw'... Latest Revision Ceramic coated goodness from Nameless Performance and tune.

thats pretty much the update... not much left to do as-per the STX Ruleset.
now its just a matter of tweaking.. and getting comfortable with the new setup.

Put in my Race Seat.. 5pt next....

Ok.. I ended up with a Corbeau FX1.. I used the stock sliders with Custom side rails. and stock seat belt mount. Very happy..
Here are the pics. I have some tinkering to do. but for the most part, Done

my motto for the whole build has been to : "Completely take away the car from the equation and concentrate on driving".. Now that the car is pretty much to the letter of the rules.. I can completely concentrate on driving and learning the new setup . I do have a surprise or two left in the goody bag.. especially with tire choice...

Thanks for the interest

So jealous of this awesome build. One day when this thing isn't my DD I'll be using this thread as a guide. Good luck this season. Can't wait to hear some of your impressions on the new setup.

Forgot to mention.. corner balancing here soon too . not many options left to do for a FULL STX Build. just some minor things.

Enjoy. Season for the car starts Next weekend at Wilmington Match tour in Wilmington Ohio where a number of Twins is pre-registered...Look forward to to

So, I'm imagining that the lockup under acceleration in the new diff is intended to be more progressive than stock (to keep power oversteer in check), and with little to no lockup on deceleration for better turn-in?

Also that you intend to take out some of the excess negative camber out of the rear?

Correct.. on all accounts.. Should be able to get to the gas a bit quicker and stay on it longer.. before turnin..

Fastest Run At Wilmington 66.1. Good enough for 3 bonus rounds. on Sunday. Car felt awesome.. Federal RSR 595 Tires. Made some adjustments on the front ride height..and soem rebound/compression adjustments on the back. still has a bit of push on exit.. more adjustment to do.. This was good enough for 7th place a 1/10th out of the trophies.. It felt good to drive my own car and for it to be competitive..

Why are you staying with the Federals?

I don't think they would be my 1st choice.

oh.. it was also the first time the car had been out this season and I think it did pretty well with all the new changes I did over the winter make the car faster.. so now its up to me, the driver...taking the car out of the equation.
