Be more specific on goals and people will amaze you at the abundance of knowledge they can provide for you.

You bought the wrong car if thats what you are worried about.

Theoretically any FI could beat the new mustang. You will also need many more supporting mods to do so. As of now the only kit compatible with the OFT is the vortech kit that they also sell.

IMO you would have a much easier time with a kit that uses ECUTek or something.

any of the kits will work, with alot of supporting mods if you want to repeat it over and over again. Dont neglect the fact that if you strip a bit of weight in the right places can only be benifitial after adding an FI kit.

No, this is the perfect car for me, I like a do it all daily driver, but also can be switched into a track machine...I saw the tail lights of a new stang yesterday, and thought that type of launch looked fun to do...I probably will go Vortech, maybe find a used kit...

Which fi kits have you installed at your shop?

I have been reading tirelessly through this forum, and finding the community to be a great resource. Thank you!

frs supporting mods, ic, radiator, oil cooler, catch can,

What's the ballpark for the reliable products and did I leave anything out?

Regarding stripping of weight off the frs: I'm guessing ac, interior, and whar else?

How light is the lightest members' rides?

dont forget gauges. Dual gauges work well: AFR/Boost and Oil temp/pressure.

Better to know if theres something wrong, and catching it by a wrong reading on a gauge, then smoke from the hood

Oh I totally understand that, my best friend drives a mustang. Haha, I just thought you meant drag racing. I love embarrassing people in "slower" cars forsure.

And I've only had the pleasure of installing an innovate kit on an ft86 platform. But I've done an e92 m3 ess supercharger, mustang vortech kit, e36 m3 Dinan kit, e46 vf kit, etc.

Never afraid of a new install, and I may be going with the OFT300 kit myself.

MT ET Streets and some drag racing skill will beat a new Stang off the line. No FI required.

For those that are using FI and still use their cars as a DD, why did you go Turbo versus SC? I'm between the 2, I like the idea of the constant power of an SC but the feel of a spooling turbo is just exciting

I chose my AVO kit over a rotrex supercharger because I got a really good deal on the AVO and it provides more power down low. I also am not a huge fan of supercharger whine, which doesn't seem too bad on the rotrex kits but not something you ever have to deal with if you go turbo. If you are ever worried about being carb legal turbo is out of the question. IV heard nothing but good things about jacksons supercharger.

Yep, us Cali boys have to basically stick with the few SC options we have as a result of CARB, unless you only track it.

Still though, I'm saving for a JRSC, Oil Cooler, Brake Upgrade, Suspension, and Clutch. Will set me back around 10K when all is said and done, but it'll be worth it. At that point, I will be 100% pleased with the car and that's the price point I'm comfortable with, mod wise.
