Booster tap that is included and get one with two barbs. As there is already a line going to the bypass valve. That or Y it out.

However you don't really need one to detect over boost as it is a belt driven compressor. Personally I have a p3cars vent guage (fa20club sells them) that replaces the oem driver vent with a half vent / half multi use display. It uses the obd port and just reads the OEM map sensor. No hoses required! I however don't use it for boost reading. Just oil temp but it serves for multiple functions and can be used for diagnostic purposes.

I have the p3cars vent guage as well. Just put it on today, took me about three minutes.
Now that I am reading boost, what is everyone seeing for maximum boost? I think I saw mine get to 6.5 psi.

On a site note, I just got my smaller pulley today, I wonder how much of a pain that will be to install.

At redline I see ~9-9.5psi
At 2-3k the gauge says I manage about 1-2psi

Woah! does this mean you found it or you are asking? I hear this sound @ ~ 3-4k rpm under lower throttle and sometimes light engine breaking. I think my car might have been making it NA as well though (I remember on the highway i would sometimes hear a chirp while cruising at normal highway speeds).

That almost sounds like a high pitched fluctuating bypass valve?

I was trying to research the squeak I was having, and found that video.
Dont know if it was someone on here or not. When it stops sounds like high pressure fuel pump.

I think it was bad blower. It got taken care of at no charge to customer. And my autometer is dang close to reading 10psi. With stock 3.48 pulley. Hopefully will be my 3.125 pulley next week

So I finished up the install and for my first impressions:

Documentation sucked, but I used the rallysportdirect guide to help me along
10 hours start to finish install time (with breaks over 2 days)

Tuning is an interesting aspect. I was tired of getting mini answers / no communication with Visconti so I ended up buying a tune from FA20club as well.

Stock basemap vs stock basemap the fa20club tune pulls way harder than John's. Its a significantly noticable change, even my gf said it feels faster than yesterday.

I'm sending both data logs for updates today/tonight, will post back how it feels, and compare how long each takes to respond with a retune (pretty sure this right here will show who cares about the customers and who is done as soon as they have the money)

If we maxed the compressor out right out out of the box, there would be no room for people to increase boost without changing the compressor. Whether doing so by raising rev limits, changing pulleys, etc., people will want to increase the boost. If we made a system with absolutely no boost upgrade, no one would buy it. We made that mistake in the past on our Lexus IS300 system...as soon as people found out there was no pulley swap option for boost upgrade, it killed the sales of that system. Even though the system made great power out of the box, and there were other compressors they could have upgraded to, it didn't matter. That system was instantly D.O.A. We have the extra impeller speed buffer for that reason - so people can go a little more aggressive if they want without having to swap compressors. For those enthusiasts that want even more...we have that covered too, but will require a compressor upgrade (and we have lots of options there).

did you say...compressor..upgrade...? do tell about this compressor upgrade. id be very interested in knowing what you guys offer to step up the gains to the next level. thanks in advance!

I think if you are boosting more than 12PSI it would be a cooling issue not to have am oil fed blower?

Don't think too many Vortech owners would go this high though.
