OK it was a blown EFI CTRL fuse. Replaced with one of the spares and she started right up. When I originally did the intake install I stupidly left the battery connected. Assume that blew it? Would love for someone to chime in and educate me on why this migt have happened. I am an electrical noob.
And thank you everyone for the help!

when I installed my Grimmspeed CAI, I didn't unplug my battery. I had no blown fuses and the car started right up. not sure why your fuse blew but it shouldn't be normal. I never unplug my battery because I'm lazy and don't want to reset my radio channels lol

Checked the wiring diagrams the EFI CTRL fuse feeds power to a whole lot of sensors (VVT , port injectors ,vvt position sensors, CPC solenoid) including the MAF sensor. Id sat somehow the maf sensor cable red wire B+ pin got shorted to earth at some point |

For something simple like an intake I never disconnect my battery either (same reason- I don't want to have to pair my phone and reset radio stations) but I do pull the ECU fuse to reset the fuel trims.
That's really weird. How the hell did it blow that fuse once you got the car started? How do you like the intake so far? |

The Blitz Advance intake has a small plate sandwiched between the intake and the MAF, and since the instructions were in japanese I inadvertently put two of the screw sleeves on the wrong side of the sandwich. This positioned prevented the MAF sensor from going all the way down into the chamber, by maybe a centimeter (however long the screw sleeves are). But it was enough to upset the MAF reading to make the engine shut off.
This is my daily so once I got everything running again I held off on the install. Will revisit this weekend. Got a SARD quad exhaust and TRD bumper garnish to put on too - arrived today - if I'm feeling ambitious. But it's cold...
