Why does Mazda insist on that radio design? Looks like someone stuck an old GPS unit on their dash and it isn't removable

I prefer the sharper lines the ND MX5 brings to the table, which is weird seeing as the MX5 have always been round looking(NA-NC), and that's the main reason I didn't like them.

I find it mind-boggling how much it turns people off. IMO Mazda Connect is way easier to use than the system in our BRZ.

It could be the easiest thing in the world but it would still be ugly.

It's the same as BMW and Mercedes, and probably others by now. They used to stick it in the dash, but that made the dash too high and the screen too low, so all of them have moved it out to sit on top of the dash. The dash stays nice and low, and straight across, but the screen is closer to your line of sight so you don't have to look down into the car. It takes less of your attention away from driving.

Its ugly. I find it mind boggling that it is even acceptable to anyone. We have a 2016 cx-5 and it doesn't have that abomination of a radio. I want to grab on and just rip it free of the dash and into the recycling bin. Exactly where that idea belongs.

OMFG!!! I just looked up the current mercedes dash and that is even worse!!! Its worse because you know thats SUPPOSED to be quality and it looks like an afterthought. At least mazda has the excuse of being cheap. Wtf.... idiocracy is a documentary.

Interesting that Fiat is not offering the 2.0litre however the 1.6 is pushing out 160bhp with a LSD whilst Mazda doesn't offer LSD on the 1.6 platform. The UK 124 Abarth is offered in some interesting colour schemes...
