Just kidding.
At least, back in the day ...... nobody had video phones ..........

Reminds me of the old FFA (Future Farmers of America) (for you city folks) initiation.

We would take the newbies (blindfolded) out to the Villar's sheep barn.

After we got them into the stall with the sheep, we would take their blindfolds off and tell them ........ to pick one ......

If they couldn't tell they were in a stall full of sheep even blindfolded they were gonna' make horrible farmers.

Oh, they knew they were in a sheep barn ........ they thought we were going to teach them how to castrate sheep with a pocket knife and their teeth.

(not THAT ought to send @soulreapersteve right over the edge, when he gets to work tonight .......)

OK, folks, LOOK OUT!

Ol humfrz just got a new, turbo charged, internet modem..........

My old modem was crippling along at about 15 megaplops; this new one screams at over 100 megaplops .....

Finally an internet connection that can keep up with my lightning fast typing ....

buahaha congrats!

I went from 3 megaplops to 100 megaplops a few months back so I know the feeling.

Did centurylink install fiber lines in your area? Or comcast offer you a decent deal?

Yep, we have Comcast and for $40, I had them install the XFinity X1 box and install a new modem. I usually do that stuff myself, but, things are getting so complex (for me at least) that I had them do it.

As it turned out, it was a wise decision. The young installer looked at my bill and went eeeeek! It seems I had some old bundles, so he updated my service ...... saving me over $80 per month .....

Now, with this new platform, everything is easier to do (even I can do it), mrs humfrz gets to record several shows while I watch the news. Also, the increased internet speed is a fun thing.

Ahhhhh....... the old days (when we finally got a little B&W TV - in a big cabinet) ...... hooking up consisted of attaching 2 antennae wires, plugging it in, turning the dial to one of 3 channels (on a clear night) and fine tuning by reaching outside and turning the antennae pole.

humfrz - lost in the 50s ......

Not bad, not bad at all! Hope that package deal last for a year or longer.

I hate comcast with a passion, not that centurylink is much better. Really wish Google Fiber came to our area but unfortunately, comcast has their greasy, monopolized hands here.

Yep, 2 year contract.

And, yep, Comcast pretty much has a lock on this area.

In the criminal justice system, sexually based offenses are considered especially heinous.
In New York City, the dedicated detectives who investigate these vicious felonies are members of an elite squad known as the Special Victims Unit. These are their stories.

I love goats. We had a bunch when I was a kid. More playful than dogs, actually. Super intelligent.
