I really think what "Lonewolf" said in the message before this one was a great piece of info.. If anyone that owns a BRZ or FRS has any of the related problems with there cars, we need to turn the heat up on subie and toyota of america and others mentioned.. Only way this will get fixed is by doing this.. Either sit on the couch and watch tv or get up make a phone call and say something related to u and ur car on how it makes u feel.. This is a great site that unites all of us based on our car and interest. I guarantee that once calls start rolling in something is gonna happen.. Good Luck... |

Lol, it's been almost one week since I went to the dealership with a CEL (P0019) and they still didn't receive any reply from Toyota France about it. I'm so glad I didn't let them keep my car 'cause it would have been siting somewhere on the parking lot all this time.
They only cleared the code to make the CEL go away, but since then I'm seeing a big loss in power. I think the car is still in limp mode... anyone has seen that ? At least if that keeps the idle problem away until they can actually fix it, I can live with it for a few weeks. Until then I will keep driving my car with half an engine :/ |

Information contained within is valid, genuine, and truthful
Quote:
The media knows because of the efforts of those on this thread. Toyota responded to the media and finally acknowledged that something was going on to their owners (not sure of Subaru has said anything to their owners). We those communications filtered down to owners or dealer staff? Hard to say. As for their statement, "don't believe everything you read on the web" I wouldn't either, there's a lot of unsubstantiated garbage on the internets. (this next part goes out to the government agencies [both US and Abroad], media outlets and the engineering, public relations, communications and legal departments within Toyota/Scion/Subaru monitoring this thread) The difference is that for anyone who is confused or resistant to the truth is that the evidence in this thread is valid, genuine, and truthful. Everyone in this thread has paper evidence, dealer repair order numbers, rental car records" "customer satisfaction" case numbers. Court discoverable records exist at the customer, dealer and manufacture which corroborate with each other and would support discovery subpoenas to Toyota/Scion/Subaru to compel them to reveal emails, case notes and engineering data...

I wonder if theres going to be any long term damage to my car.
Ive had the idle dip issue for 4400 miles now and while i havent gotten a CEL i also have not gotten a reflash or new ecu and my dealer is refusing to do anything till i get the CEL. My question is after i get the CEL and fix it is there going to be long term effects to my motor? I know a few people have but im wondering if thats a given. |

My car should be in within the week. Vin# 7111xx. I'm hoping they have this problem fixed by now. Looks like they're over 11,000 for US cars
