Digital Assassin...the oil reservoir in the original KW location is fine...Rotrex is concerned that too high of position will cause the front seal to leak due to high static hydraulic pressure; their generalized instruction to mount the reservoir lower than the charger guarantees that the seal will not see high enough static hydraulic pressures to cause leakage. The reservoir even or slightly higher than the charger with the line running lower (as is the case with the KW kit) is fine.

Thanks! I'm still waiting on the EcuTek to ship. Once that does, I'll tear into her.

@gmsii

How long before the toothed idlers come out? Only - I read or hear about is noise levels and I'm very curious is those bits being toothed will basically solve that or not. I'm abit of a nancy pants with additional noises so this is a concern for me.

Received my kit the day before last... smooth idler pulleys. So, the toothed idlers have not come down the pipeline just yet.

Next tip guys.

The cold side piping that runs behind the passenger headlight needs to be checked after installing the headlights. I was hearing a bit of rattling and chased it down tonight and discovered when I reinstalled the headlights I had sandwiched the IC tube in between the headlight and the attachment point of the front crash bar and if left unattended would have wore a hole in the IC pipe.

After reinstallation of the headlights check this side and make sure you still have clearance. Now that I loosened things up and moved them the issue is solved. Not a problem with the kit just something to be aware of when aligning things.

Anybody else get their kit installed yet or am I still the only one getting to enjoy this thing so far?

Waiting on belt cover, replacement anodized parts, injectors, fuel pump and some other bits. Can't come soon enough!

Which injectors and fuel pump did you go with? I think we were about hitting the limits of the stock setup so this may open up some more potential in the tuning for you. Colder spark plugs should help too.

Try using rubber pads with adhesive backing for tight fits like this. It'll eliminate any rattling/vibrating, and absorb the wear.

The "other" kit includes a bunch of these pads for the exact same reason.

I went with Full Blown's 270lph pump. It's a 65mm pump so it's a direct fit pump. I'm also going with 540cc Fuel Injector Clinic injectors. I'm running ethanol, so definitely need the headroom.

May as well change out the spark plugs at the same time... good call.

This is the only spot were metal to metal was a possibility and once I realigned the pipe there is tons of room around it. The only rattle issue I have is the filter cone is vibrating on my APR bumper but that is probably due to a slightly modified shape to the front end.

Ah, gotcha.

I used the rubber liner on every spot where the fitment was tight. Doesn't hurt, since I HATE rattles and funky noises.

When I saw that the oil for the SC was $100 I sprayed coffee all over my phone. Now I'm typing from my laptop.

Good LAWD that stuff is outrageously priced! Must be made of Unicorn piss or something.
