Third connector on headlights?

I was looking at the back of the headlight assembly today and noticed that in addition to the two connectors/harnesses for the high and low beams there is another connector going into the headlight assembly lower down (or at least it looks like it is going into it from what I can see) with about 6 wires going into it. What is this connector used for?

No, because there are only two bulbs in the assembly, and both can easily be pulled out the back (that's the first two connectors). This third connector is actually slightly lower than the others and goes into a place where there's no bulb on the other side. It might not even be going into the headlight assembly at all but it looks like it to me.
