Acoustic guitar/ukulele players - Toyota GR86, 86, FR-S and Subaru BRZ Forum & Owners Community

So, I searched for "acoustic guitar" and "ukulele" threads, and I didn't find any, so I figured I would start one!

I've been playing on and off since 2006 and I played piano for 4 years prior, and every so often I go on this binge to learn some old songs and what not on the uke and acoustic, and lately it's been Passion - Lemonade, Alcoholic - Common Kings, Gentlemen Don't - Gabe Bondoc, etc. I know there are some people here that listen to music like that. When I was in Sr year of highs chool and freshman year of college, Passion and Gabe were a pretty big deal in the Asian community in CA. If you are a player of said instruments posts up some pictures, and some of the songs you like to play!

I bought a ukulele with my dad about a year ago. Now it's sitting in the corner of my living room... I don't even know where or how to start learning. It looks really fun though.

I really like John Mayer.
he's a top 100 guitar player for sure.
I *attempted* to get into music school but I didnt play the style of music they look for and my theory wasn't good enough either.

How long have you had the Luna? I bought one for my gf but I'm still nervous of how it will hold up over 5, 10, 20 years given it's Chinese build, entry level price and emphasis on looks.

Better electronics in it than any of my acoustic/electrics (National Style N, Ovation Legend 12-string) but those are 10+ years old.

I play mainly country (Eric chruch being my favorite) but I'll play anything that sounds good acousticly like hallelujah or simple man
