Headers touching skid plate

So after installing aftermarket headers when I start there is a rattle and when at low revs the rattle is still there. Just had a bit of a look and noticed the skid plate is touching the headers I'd stay this is the cause of the rattle. Should I try bend it or just remove it? Thanks

I'd bend it. A hammer is your friend. The skid plate does provide real protection. Ask me how I know.

Just posted a potential solution here:

http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showt...=80609&page=26

You can try to hammer down the ribs in the plate. More often then not if you drive for 50-100km there should be a clear contact mark on the skid plate showing where the issue is.
