HATED1' s Build thread ...(Whiteout FR-S)

So i've been into cars and motorcycles for a while and have made many modifications and changes to all of them. When i read about the FR-S i was quite intrigued because of these main factors:

1. Right out of the box it comes with a decent LSD
2. You can fit all your gear to/from the track
3. It doesn't seem to need supporting mods for a session at the track
4. A good daily driver with decent gas mileage.
5. It has 4 seats, not the best rear seats, but it does have rear seats.

So i decided that i would put down a deposit for a white FR-S and see how this treats me. But before i get into the FR-S here's a little story of what i hope will end up to be my last car...for awhile anyway.

I had a few cars before, really got into drifting, spent a lot of money but i still didnt get the hang of it.
My 240 started off bone stock to this.

then i figured id "upgrade" and pick up a 350z, dropped it on Stance Pro GR's, 2 way LSD, Project mu rear drums, yadda yadda yadda.

took it to a drift event, and was disappointed that i needed more supporting mods, so i figured id move on and get a daily driver. Traded it in and picked up the 370z.

BYE!

HELLO!

final product before shipping off to an out-of-state buyer

So my car is due to arrive within the next week, i'll update with pics when it gets in, im so anxious!!!

Finally! I asked the dealer to leave all the plastic on and not wash it.

My first impressions are that it's very comfortable. I am 5'9 160 pounds and it hugs me quite nicely, everything is within reach with great visibility. As many have mentioned the clutch does initiate on the high side, but is very quickly to get re-acquainted with. I have sat in traffic and the gears are precise and effortless. It does not accelerate as fast as you would want it too, but it does have enough power to take you out of sticky situations. Compared to the 370z, i like the fact that i will be able to use more of the RPM range rather then let off earlier. As far as the sound system goes, (Stock unit) i think it's great. If your like me and only listen to the radio or iphone occasionally rather than everytime you get in the car then you will be satisfied. I really don't care much for radio noise other than whats going on with the engine or my passenger. Overall it's bean a good 200 miles so far...

Nice, love the 240 and the Z, do you have any plans for the FR-S?

Thanks,
Rick

Just curious, why did you sell the 370z? They seem like pretty good cars.

thanks guys! my plans for the FR-S are just to enjoy the "drive" maybe a couple drift events. In the future i plan on coilovers and rims, i like the simplicity of a vehicle without overdoing it.

The 370z was awesome, sold it because i just got bored with it, great power, good looks, just needed a change.

Love the color choice! Amazing little cars. Went from a big powerful EvoX here so I know what you mean by simplicity. Sometimes it is just what the doctor ordered.
