Anyone find a place to order the JDM OEM exhaust tips? Hate how the USDM exhaust tips are far behind the bumper.

IIRC, the JDM tips will only add like 1/4 of an inch. The main problem here, as of 2017, is the mounting point on the US muffler is deeper than the JDM muffler.

There is a thread or two on the topic.

What? So the connection to the mid pipe is shorter and the whole muffler sits further forward? That’s crazy!

Nah, the pipes are shorter and the fastener location is further inboards too.

Still mighty impressive considering the stock cutback is merely 16.2kg vs HKS spec L2 11.4kg (what with its super thin walls and less pipes, although bigger diameter).

Also, HKS couldn't manage more than 3 to 4 hp gain?

Anyone planning on getting the Japanese STI muffler? It’s on my list of exhaust candidates but I’m afraid it’ll be too quiet.

I believe every single catback will fit. It has the same mounting points and flanges.

I just installed a Thermal Dynamics catback with a giant Helmholtz chamber, and it fit. Granted the Helmholtz is closer to the driveshaft than I'd like, but I dont think it'll be a problem.
