Torque specs included with the header instructions on the bolts or do we need to dig for the manual to find the stock torque?

To those people who received the original faulty manifolds, are you having to send your manifolds back before JDL will supply a replacement?

I think it's fair for them to ask you to send it back first. I would ask anyone to send it back first that posted negatively about my company. There's no telling what someone angry might do.

There are people that would use their anger as justification to not send the old header back upon receiving the new header. I'm not saying you are the type of person to do that. Complications arise when badmouthing a company rather than understanding this is a first-time run for these headers from JDL, they are a very small shop, swamped with orders and things take time. These bumps in the road are to be expected and should have factored into your decision of whether or not you wanted the header before making the purchase.

Since you have decided to post here as well I will post my solution

Im sending the header to a friend in Cambridge. He will exchange the headers for me and send back our old one. I lived there for 3 years so I have really good friends that will do me a favor

My goal for the headers was to remove the torque dip. Keep in mind it was between 95-100 degrees, humid, and the dyno was rollers so that may be under-rated. It was on stock headerback which I'm sure is also restricting the flow a bit. I was hoping for 185, but given the conditions its not too far off my expectations. These are just assumptions, maybe @moto-mike can fill in a bit more.

You are viewing the peak #'s no the largest power increase. The largest power increase is pointed out via #'s on the graph its self. The valley was decreased significantly which matches up with all of the dyno's I was seeing on the arizona dyno weekend we had. No one had much of, if any at all of a torque dip. I had more of a dip with my Vortech setup than these guys did with their header. lol. That graph makes it look pretty good IMO. Quite a big difference in the low RPM torque. Hopefully i get a chance to see what one of these does on a vortech kit at some point!

it sucks that not a ton of people are doing these. But the fact that he had header + no tune makes me think that he didnt do a non header tune. My friend will have one to post in the next few weeks once we get to the dyno (need to book another day ugh!). I just need to find what day we can work out.

This was not intended to do all variations. I wanted a baseline of what I already had (blue line) and another with header and tune. Mike was kind enough to do another pull with only headers, then another set for tune.

Correct, I received the header Monday and did not have any tune. The tune was intended to remove the CEL.

We only ask because it doesn't look like the header made any power. The tune did, but would a tune have yielded the same thing. The All stock tune in the OpenTablet ECU thread looks just like your header tune (particularly in the torque dip region).
