Low end torque was the deciding factor in my purchase (as well as $$) since i'm drag racing, shooting for 12s on a tire.

on one hand it seems to sound good to get another supercharger that grows more up top, or a turbo, with in theory more power in the 5-7k rpm range where you should be on track; although it seems like the above mentioned combo will actually deliver quite a bit of power in this range as well. would love to hear someone with more experience chime in !
Visit my build thread and you'll see videos and other stuff. I don't have e85 however. I'm at 250whp ish. With e85 you'll get closer to 280whp ish. Top end is a little less powerful than a turbo, but you also don't need to shift down as much as you have more torque down low. Also best sound in my opinion, which my videos will show.

Can I use 69mm or 70mm pulley with none-intercooler kit and 91 octane? Thanks.

I dont think so. It will create a lot heat that the engine would not like.

Before I upgrade to intercooled, I would feel the diffrence in performance of the car after few minutes of driving because of heat soak.

does the intercooled kit keep cool on track or does it soak partway through?

trying to figure out if i should be going with this kit or the cosworth now (seems no e85 tunes on it yet either to compare)

Unfortunately I dont have any track time with my car but from what read and hear from other owners, it still heat soak but not as bad as non intercooled.

I've got a couple of questions about the blower oil level.

1. I'm going to a HPDE track day this weekend at TWS, is there a recommended oil level for extended driving at WOT?
2. How do you check the oil level, when the car is on flat level ground, or do you jack up the rear and make the blower level? I checked with a bubble level when sitting in my garage, and the blower is not level unless jacked up.

Thanks in advance.

Need to level off the blower to check the oil level - would assume making sure you are to the line on the dipstick when cold.

The only thing I keep track of on the track is oil temp and pressures, which are good. I don't have any logging data for the supercharger or horsepower loss because of heat.

Just check the oil level on flat ground as that was how Sprintex checked mine for me when I was there once.

Page 36. You need to jack the rear of the car up so the blower is level before you check the oil.

thats a good way to get the oil to the correct level... you can't really see the oil on the bare metal dip stick.. i have a black dip stick that i use as well that shows the oil a lot better.

as far as track days.. the intercooler does a pretty good job at keeping up.. it will "Heat soak" until it gets to an equilibrium temperature. and then it will stay there. It doesn't run off to some insane temperature.. the ecu has no idea what the temp of the water is or how hot the charge air is post cooler so power won't change too much... its a little noticeable but you will see a larger fluctuation with AIT than with the cooler circuit getting warm..

I would invest in a tablet or phone and run torque pro $5 and a cheap obdII adapter $12.. its an easy way to keep an eye on the critical things like oil temp, coolant temp, fuel trims ect.

Ive spent 40 minutes on track going as hard as I could and the car never skipped a beat..
