Glad to know. I was assuming that it wouldnt really be worth it. I was aware of cold start issues, since i have ran E85 in 5 different vehicles over the last 5 years.

But as Pavel says. More isnt always better, sometimes its just more.

Someone hinted in another thread that by using O2 input as opposed to evap may make cruising mpg worse. Any truth to that?

None, whatsoever. Rear o2 fuel trimming is disabled in the majority of our tunes anyways.

So what is the function of the rear 02 trim ?
why is all that code in ecu ?




"Closed Loop Fueling Target Compensation (Rear O2) Limits (Max)" – This is the max closed loop fueling
target adder based on rear o2 input. The factory default is set to an extreme value so that the limit never
comes into play. However, this can be set to zero to eliminate this compensation on the positive side.
• "Closed Loop Fueling Target Compensation (Rear O2) Limits (Min)" - This is the min closed loop fueling
target adder based on rear o2 input. The factory default is set to an extreme value so that the limit never
comes into play. However, this can be set to zero to eliminate this compensation on the negative side.
• "A/F Learning #3 Limits (Max/Min)" - These are the max and min values for the long-term fuel trim based on
rear o2 input. The factory defaults are set to extreme values so that the limits never come into play. However,

A bit more in depth, sure. As I said before, all of these compensations are disabled in our Flex Fuel tunes.

I dont believe I have seen this question as of yet. But since I just went back to 91 (supposedly no ethanol, straight 91) i noticed that the app still displays 10% ethanol and never goes lower.

Is the 10% the lowest limit on ethanol?

Not that i really give a damn about ethanol content below 10%. I just want to make sure everything is running correctly. Especially before dyno day tomorrow.

10% is typically the minimum amount of ethanol put in today's pump gas fuel. Just about every fuel in the US now has at least 8-10% ethanol in it. There are special pumps in some states that have ethanol free gas, but they're few and far between!

The APP has no limits; it will go from 0% all the way to 100%.

I love the flex fuel kit, and being able to read the ethanol content is great....but the
app is always giving me bad news on E content.

Oh I agree. I love ethanol. It's just the principle of the station charging more for it, while they advertise 100% gas.
