Not expensive at all if you do it yourself. $500 for a sprayer, 3 gallons of dip, and supplies. Took a day.

That's not bad. Do you have automotive paint background? I'd feel like I'd ruin my car if I tried myself.

How do you care for it? Hand wash only or car wash safe?

Nope, never painted a car before.

I use a pressure washer at home and I've used the pressure washer at the coin-ops before. I wouldn't dare take it in an automatic one though.

Oh ok. It can take a pretty good wash though. I was thinking it would be like having a wrapped car. I think you're only allowed to detail wrapped cars with spray detailer and a rag. :/ I'm actually pretty interested in trying this. Is it true you can just peel it off any time and then you're back to normal paint or does it ruin the factory paint?

It peels off but I can see it may be challenging to get overspray out of the jambs and what not. I'm going to redo it this spring and might try a product called dip disolver to get the tough spots.

Question on your plastidip ... did you also do the inside of the door jam area and the ends of the doors - or just the exterior? I'm thinking about doing this for racing season ...

Awesome car, the plastidip looks even better in person (which is rare for plastidip).

Also Kiyohime, isn't that a Korean name?

Thanks man. Kiyohime is a character in ancient Japanese folklore. See this link. It's a cool story and I also have a right arm sleeve/chest piece of this story that is in progress right now.

So many parts hitting my doorstep in the next few weeks getting ready for this years track season in the PNW. I missed last weekends event since my car is torn apart on jackstands... again.

I sold my Nameless 2.5" exhaust, KWv3's, & Beatrush Strut Braces to make room for the new mods.

To replace the exhaust I'm stepping up to a JDL 3" OP and JDL 3" FP (Resonated) paired with the Tomei 80 CBE. I've received the Tomei and it's beautiful. Can't wait to see the JDL pieces.

To replace the suspension I've worked with Ground Control to build be a dual adjustable race setup. The folks at GC are awesome! They build the setup tailored to your car based on it's current power, suspension mods, weight, preference for oversteer/neutral/understeer, and set them for you as a starting point. I'm so stoked to see how these will pan out. I run my car pretty low so I started out looking at just their camber plates and stress bar but decided to just do the whole package. I also picked up their font and rear sway bar end links.

To keep the oil temps at bay I have a pre-production oil cooler kit being sent to me by the guys at @KraftWerks. Thanks again guys!

Now that I'm supercharged it seemed prudent to go ahead and pick up catch cans. I went with Radium's dual set up for the FR-S/BRZ. I just received it yesterday and it is a piece of awesomeness! I went ahead and picked up their master cylinder brace while I was at it.

A local member sold me his Braille 11.5lb battery and I'm currently trying to decide on an adequate tray. Thinking the FT86SpeedFactory tray due to price but may go with the PTuning since it will work with the Shorai if I choose to switch.

Last piece of the puzzle is LCA's. Whitelines look good but no one has them. I wish there were good options for around $300 but looks like we are stuck with a $500 range for the good ones. I might try the Voodoo13's and also pick up the Whiteline Roll Center Correction to cap off this round.

It's going to be a fun couple weeks adding all this to the car. She'll be a whole different animal on the track this year!
