I WAS REMOVING THE RED TINTS I DID FOR MY TAILS USING PAINT REMOVER AND THIS IS WHAT HAPPENED.....THE WHITE STUFF IS THE LINT THATS LEFT OVER IS THERE ANYWAY I CAN REMOVE THIS.....SHOULD I TRY GOO GONE OR MY TAILS ARE GONE....

should of used good gone in the 1st place. When I had red tints on my car (done by using VHT Red) Goo Gone was able to remove the tint and leave the tails fine tho it should be noted that I didn't spray on that heavy.

You should try goo gone anyways might as well now and sorry to hear about it... makes me 2nd guess myself and doing the red tails again

Worst-case you may end up needing to buff that off and perhaps follow-up with a 3M headlight restoration kit if the taillights don't look that great afterwards.

Don't worry it'll come off I promise you, just do it the right way now. Order yourself some plastic razor blades and stoner's tarminator, if you have a heat gun that will help too.

Spray the tarminator on the lens, wait 5 minutes for it to dwell, heat up a bit with the heat gun (keep it a safe distance away, work in a very small area)

Use the plastic razor blades so scrap the crap off the lens. I am wondering, this is the adhesive stuff left behind right?

Looks like the paint remover(lacquer thinner?) melted the plastic and then the cloth stuck to it! You may be able to polish it out?

I wouldn't use lacquer thinner anywhere near a car except maybe to thin touch up paint?

^ Thats exactly what happened. I went to Hamza's place to try and fix it(no charge) but no luck. He did however manage to fix the other tail light which had a bit of this stuff and he polished it out for me. Lesson learned dont mess around with chemicals. This lesson cost me $300, had to purchase a new tail light.

Have you thought about trying a headlight restoration kit? I've used one before on my Acura and the headlights went to looking brand spanking new. I'm not sure how well it will work in your situation but the process should work.

Essentially, the kit comes with multiple grades of sandpaper, and you work your way up and then polish it smooth with a drill. You may have to do a lot of sanding to fix that but in the end I'm pretty sure it'll work.
