As someone who has their entire chest covered in tattoos, and is planning a sleeve over the next year, it makes me wonder what other tattoos you have, that leaves your face as the only available option?

I see that you're an ex-con, so are you just trying to chase some clout? Or have you legitimately run out of room on the rest of your body. As someone who does have tattoos, it makes me cringe physically when I see someone with hand tattoos, but no sleeves. Neck tattoo but open chest and back. Face tattoos, but plenty of space on their legs.

I guess in summation, go for the idiotic face tattoo, then regret it fully when you realize you can't get work. Then become a soundcloud rapper.

I think that's a little asinine. Cringing physically over someone else's choice of tattoo placement. There isnt a set or even traditional way to begin body coverage.

Some pieces look better in certain areas, some people aren't after coverage or bigger pieces.... some people just want the attention. It's very much a personal experience.

That's fair, but it makes me wonder how my clients would view me when I'm pitching them millions of dollars of work and they were focused on a shitty face tattoo I got.

But I feel like they shouldn’t worry about that good business is good business. If you were a pot head would you care if your weed man had face tattoos? If you were hungry and went to a restaurant would you not eat the food if the cook had a face tattoo? Nah........

i do in fact know people that would avoid a restaurant with a chef like that. even if it was top rated. and the meal was free.

the real problem with having visible tattoo's is you're opening yourself up to everyone's opinions. i've never met someone that didn't have an opinion and only a small minority of those opinions that i agree with.

i don't like tattoo's. i don't believe i'll ever get one, any reason i had to get one even 5 years ago has changed dramatically. i'm still very much adjusting to the self-expression concept of tattoo's--that concept is only about 2-3 years old for me. the culture and people that i was raised around ingrained it within me that someone with tattoo's is not someone to be trusted. tattoo'ed people are worst of the worst. if they're not a drug dealer, they're a smuggler, a trafficker, a con man, a killer. no good can come of interacting with someone like that. i was never explicitly told that, but it was always implied. my one brother got a single letter of his wife's name tattoo'ed on his ring finger 4 years ago. it still comes up in discussion(though the issues with that brother are much much larger than the single tattoo, and would require many paragraphs to really get into, he likes to use that tattoo to 'twist the knife', leading to even worse opinions on both sides)

i know that's not what anyone wants to hear, but it's the culture i come from. my interaction within this thread is my way of expanding my knowledge, and in a way, forcing myself to recognize and understand others perspective on matters that i've never agreed with. most people aren't so interested to push the boundaries of their own idea's or the culture that they either intentionally or obliviously surrounded themselves with.

this is the world we live in. it sucks, yes, but it doesn't change anything. the only way to change it is to talk about it, and move forward while understanding our differences.

I just think it’s stupid. I don’t believe in god but per the Bible via revelations Jesus has two tattoos on his legs. I mean if the holy man himself has tattoos then it shouldn’t matter.

Well, just like you think that's stupid, you should be able to understand and accept that most people think face tattoos are not a good thing, and that someone who decides to 'do that thing knowing that most people think it's not a good thing' exhibits poor judgement. And, most people would not want to do business with someone who exhibits poor judgement because it might not be limited to just a face tattoo.

So, don't be angry at people who think that getting a face tattoo is a bad idea, or that they may not want to hire you; expect it.

Let me ask you a question I'd like answered honestly: What are all the reasons why you think that getting a face tattoo would be a GOOD idea, and what you would expect to gain from it?

all opinions are stupid. it's only the one's that we agree with we deem not to be. i'm just stating where i was and where i'm headed. i know that tattoo's don't define a persons character. i now know many people use tattoo's to express themselves. i didn't know either of those things 10 years ago. 10 years ago, the hateful things i'd have to say about tattoo's would have both of us banned and this thread deleted.

while i'm willing to branch out and understand others opinions, many aren't. tattoo's are controversial regardless of the reasons anyone can come up with.

But look back 800 years ago and the leaders of civilizations had markings and tattoos all over their bodies including their faces. I’m just saying. Don’t judge a book by its cover.

I'm in agreeance with you there. Personally I'd never do it, nor would I do many visible areas.... but it's not my place to judge someone else and how they went about that decision.
