The same thing. Motul 300 in both. You could put 300LS in the diff, but it's more for clutch-type limits slips, which we don't have. 4 total quarts of Motul 300 will do both with no issues.

On some of the parts pages (FT8686speedfactory.com) it says for use in rear diffs without limited slip though.

If you have a clutch type limited slip, you really do need the 300LS. Ours is a Torsen unit though. It isn't necessary, although apparently it helps the limited slip hang on a hair longer before slipping. I don't track my car, so that's not a concern I have. I'd rather buy four quarts of one thing than three of one and two of the other.
