PS if anyone wants free E85 I need the E85 out of my car asap. Its 4-5 weeks old now (so should still be good to use) and I don't want it sitting there for the next 60 days while i build a motor... If anyone has a way to pump it out its free, although beer is welcomed.

Thats a good deal and its not that hard to pump out you could even be lazy and just disconnect the fuel line and turn on the pump.

KK - I didn't realize they were individually licensed. that makes a lot of sense now. Looks like a purchase.

However you would be the first local AT to try the Open Flash and I would be very interested to feel a before and after.

KK - I knew it would be interesting buying the auto! I've never been one to go with the 'tried and true' for some reason. It's not intentional, it just always happens to me. When I started modding sport compacts, 'four bangers' and imports 20 years ago, there was no such thing as an 'aftermarket' so we had to fabricate everything or order from Japan if you could find a translator at the company you were calling. $5,000 of fabrication and custom work 20 years ago can now be done for 500 bucks worth of bolt-ons - and there's 15 models to choose from! LoL

On the K&N I do think its a habit you should break. Just for this reason alone:
24 Minutes and it passed that much dirt...

KK - yeah, we're eyeballing the Apex'i and aFe drop-ins now.

KK - thanks for the info and the recommendation! Can I ask which drop-in and tube you went with? Perrin, Zeta, ...? We're most interested in throttle response instead of peak HP, a flatter TQ curve, and of course the accompanying sound.
Thank you all so much for the feedback! This is certainly one of the best forums I've been part of, and we really appreciate everyone sharing their knowledge!

Basically ill meet up with you and flash it for you with some extra features such as auto blip, launch control etc if you want and includes a license for ecutek (which is normally $350 by its self).

If anyone is interested feel free to PM me I should be able to get that going as early as today.
Hey nelsmar,

We'd probably have gone for this - if we weren't an auto trans. I'm guessing we'll be better served by just buying it outright next month after the slow-bleed of Christmas is over.

As everyone here is saying its a bad filter, I have the k&n, bill was kind enough to let me have his brand new filter so i just threw it on but I'm happy with it and i have the zeta performance tube with the sound tube delete (makes engine bay look cleaner and i noticed the cabin a bit quieter)

To be fair if you already have a K&N just don't oil it again after you clean it. Last night while doing the first Seafoam and Kerosene flush as well as an Oil Change on Chey's G8 I found out she had a K&N.

I washed it 3 times in hot soapy water and got it nice and clean then just let it dry and installed it that way. Works just fine no point in changing it since we got it for free with the car. I may do the same tube change I even think an FRS one might work. But either way the factory box is just fine. Had I not gotten the deal I did on my AiRaid I would have used that.

I really could use the front air intake duct as apparently I lost mine so if anyone has one thanks.

I went with Apexi based on this review/price/dry filter/convenience.

I have the aFe filter-read some good feedback on it somewhere. I bought the K&N filter first but then got nervous about the oil from the filter messing up the engine and the dry filters seemed more "foolproof" for a car novice.

Takes a really long time to do as you have to turn on and off the ignition as pump doesn't prime long. Like 10-20 mins. And we would need jumper cables my battery is dead. Like I said if someone wants to get creative... By all means. I need to drain the tank to sell the pump at some point.

Jump the Fuel Relay most fuel boxes have an open pin to allow you to do this and it turns the pump on full regardless. You would still need a good battery though.

I can convert the tune and make it work on an automatic won't be a problem . Does oft not support auto yet?

If you want a Cale later I can get you one for a fair price.
