AT problems?

Hi

I have search and couldn't find any major problem with the AT.

I do have a 2013 FRS AT with FI since first oil changed. A couple of miles of hard use (abuse) and the only thing that have to be replaced was the mounts... Engine, trany and diff.

In the process for AT oil cooler, but that's it up to date.

So if anyone have break some gears or something (the clutch could be burned, I did find that but without oil cooler and repetitive launch).

Your input is more than welcome!

If you've been racing it, you should change the ATF. OEM Toyota fluid is fine, but go to a transmission shop or DIY correctly. It's tricky.

Thanks, and yes I wouldn't do it. Do have a mechanic that like that kind of fun

Although what I'm looking for are breakdowns AT due to any cause... Like MT partners have.

No issues here. Been supercharged for about 6000 miles as well.

I've been reading the forums since the twins were released for automatic transmission problems. Nothing really to take note of. No one has an official torque figure for how much the tranny can take before damaging and I'm not a big fan of speculation, but I'm sure the rich kids will find out for us soon enough. There already is data that the torque converter can crap out after a few hard launches, hence an upgrade one. We are very lucky however to already have a few aftermarket parts to beef up the transmission for forced induction, which if you were going down that path...would seem obvious to do.

It seems the general consensus on having a tranny cooler is if you track the car. Judging by the data posted by others and the release of two kits for our cars, it looks to be needed. I'll be picking up a cooler as well later this month.

That's why I make my first thread...

Buy the car on summer 2012, FI since vortech release their SC and beating the living 5hit ever since. No problem up to date.
First tranny oil change at 10k miles, nasty... Oil cooler is a must if you desire to keep the car.

Following closely SSP but not completely sure about the valve body work. Sound good lets wait a review.

AT problems

I was just wondering if anyone has had any problems with their Camaro after installing the Black Iceolator that seem to have been caused/contributed to by the install?
