2AR-FE

Can anybody point me in the right direction with my idea for a 2AR-FE DD?

Aside from more torque, what do you find more appealing about the 2AR?

Because OP wants a Camry in a 86 body.

So no Camry can never pull on a FT86 ever again.

Cause the 2ar-fe is basically a 2jz with two less cylinders.

Ever seen Fredric Aasbo's 2AR from Papadakis Racing?

There are two engines worth swapping: 2JZ and LS?. Everything else is inferior and/or too expensive.

Can't blame a guy for wanting to be different.

Personally, I would do a rocket engine.

Those are some of the best engines but I'd like to have 800hp come from an 51lbs 4 cylinder (empty of course), and still have room under the hood for more.

You might have the 3S-GTE and the 2AR-FE confused

Too be honest didn't know that engine existed, but it seems intereating and research worthy.

3S-GTE is known as the 4-cylinder 2JZ.

The 2AR is the first I4 I've actually liked, never took any other 4 cylinders into consideration, so I didnt do too much research into other 4 cylinders. Always liked the body of the MR2's, just haven't taken a look under the hood of one.
