When I put the car into 1st and 2nd gear and accelerate I've noticed a "ticking/clicking" noise. It only does it for the first few seconds when the car is shifted into 1st and 2nd gear and then stops. Sounds like its coming from under the car as opposed to under the hood. Its loud enough that it can be heard from inside and outside the car from 10-20 yards away. The best way I could describe it is that it sounds like I have a nail or screw stuck in one of my tires when I drive (tires were actually checked to make sure this wasn't the case).
Car was taken to the dealer this week and the noise was found to be coming from the left rear control arm, although no specific problem/defect was found. Dealer loosed the control arm bolts, repositioned and retorqued all the bolts and the noise went away. 3 days later and the noise is back..

I've done some research on the forums and it seems like some people were able to have the problem fixed by having the axle bolts retorqued while others had the issue return. Has anyone local experienced this problem?
A few people have had the axle nut issue. Have them re-torqued and see if it goes away. Are you on stock suspension?

All drilled out. I can really only epoxy in one fitting per day. My 7 ball is on now. If you would like to epoxy yourself any ball I haven't already done, I'll make it $20
Some how, the 4 ball got 2 small scratches on it. If you still want it @Cross, I'll discount it.

so, I believe the 11 is the red stripe. I will take that, if available, and mail you a check or money order if preferred on payday (friday )

just pm me with address and if possible to have it "install ready". I can wait if needed.

$25 plus shipping. There is a tentative plan to meet up with @EZWood sometime soon. I could hand off the PHX ones to him, if thats cool with him and you.

Yes stock suspension..I was planning on getting coil overs or possibly lowering springs in the next month but now i'm wondering if thats even a good idea as re-torquing the bolts doesn't appear to have sold the problem for me the first time and the dealer said everything looked good upon inspection and didn't see any structural issues..so i'm not sure if this is the beginning symptom of a more serious problem with the axle.

I had a similar issue. I would get a click sound every time I went from a dead stop either forward or reverse or when shifting gears. I took it in amd first dealer said they can't hear anything. so I bought it to Big 2 and the tech went on a ride along. He heard the noise right away....but it took a couple hours for them to diagnose what it was. It turned out to be a mechanism for the parking break. I guess it was loose and needed adjuating. I still get that noise though but it's rare.
