If you installed injectors, then the car won't run without a tune.

You could blow the engine on the way home. Tune it there. Hope you didn't get a flex tune.

fwiw it only takes about an hour or two of street driving to nail down bigger injectors on a car, and is a very, very straightforward process. i'd just do it and be done with it. easier than limping the car to a tuner states away. you could at least get them dialed in well enough to make the drive to the tuner more pleasant.

Where is the thread where you schedule that 1 day tuning day with Ecutek software to optimize the turbo setup? Is it recommended to complete this right away or can you drive on the base tune safely for a while?

Email Toni @ info@fa20club.com for details on setting up your appointment for tuning.

It is recommended to be tuned as soon as possible, and ideally immediately, after install.

However, you can use your base tune but avoid boost and WOT flogging until your tuning session.

I highly suggest you look for a different tuner. Highly.

I wouldn't let Toni touch your car if it were me. And, FWIW, it was just a couple days ago. I, unfortunately, got the FA20Club turbo kit and I chose to have it tuned locally instead. I just installed it at my house, and drove it to the tuner. Keep it out of boost and you will be fine without a base map.

FWIW, I drove almost 2 hours to a tuner.. no problems. Averaged 70mph and 30mpg even

Only time I had to be mindful was accelerating up hills.. and even then it wasn't really that big of a deal.

Edit: I have the 60 trim turbo and full exhaust, which hinders spool time.. making it easier to stay out of boost.
