Throw on some unequal length headers and leave the rest stock and you're good to go

I have zero complaints from my Ultimate Racing 2.75" Over/front pipe combo. Well priced too.

JDL for the over/front pipe
https://jdlautodesign.net/shop/ft86-...pe-combo-pipe/

Put a JDL UEL header in front of it if you want rumble

I second the JDL front pipe over pipe combo. I have the ultra quiet front pipe/ over pipe on my FRS. Went On fairly easy and sounds great but also as said above if your really want rumble the UEL headers are the way to go

JDL UEL headers, stock fp/op, and Perrin 2.5" resonated cat-back has been treating me really well.

Same setup, I love it. I might go for a catless FP/OP later in the future though.

My eBay 2.5" Ultrex overpipe that cost $90 AUD new/posted works a treat.

Although, unless you are tuning hard, it's not worth it, it's not going to do alot for sound anyway.

For your front pipe, you will most likely get the sound you want by knocking out the cat in the front pipe.

Cost $0.

For power start with headers, 2017+ OEM headers decatted, that cost $0, work a treat, but, prestart is obnoxiously loud when fully catless, can be tuned out if required.

"Good" aftermarket headers cost alot, but are you happy to spend $1000 or up for a little bit more midrange and top end.

TL;DR, Buy a used mid pipe, knock out the cat with a hammer and screwdriver and see how you like that sound.

You don't need to spend big money for sound or power if you follow some basic engineering principles.

You can spend alot of money and get minimal returns though.

If you mean "knock" it out with a hammer, you'll also get heavy metal poisoning.

I would assume people know to use PPE.

If not then Darwinism

You'd be surprised how many otherwise "smart" people I've met that have recounted tales of chiseling out cat converters.

Haha I've knocked out cats with a hammer and small pry bar. I'm still here!!!! Wouldn't do again though, it's easier to keep your stock part and just buy a replacement designed around not having it.
