20mm adaptors

Hello all! I've searched through the forum, and i couldn't find anything regarding this; but do any of you guys know if you have to cut your stud down if you are to use a 20mm spacers or adapter? I know 15mm spacers/ adapters, the stud protrudes out and you would have to shave the stud down.

If using the stock wheels that have cavities in then you won't need to grind.

I have TRD SF2 wheels with no cavities and the 20mm ones wouldn't work as I wasn't prepared to grind the studs and even if I did the lug nuts would have sit a little proud.
