OFT

So had some time tonight to go for a drive with the recently installed Open Flash Tablet. Along with the drop in filter and exhaust additions the car is now a much more aggressive ride than stock. Low and mid range torque has improved significantly. The higher rev ranges are, well, angry!! The sound and feel in the cabin is nothing short of spectacular. A low deep tone when cruising almost daring you to launch an all out assault through the gears. Is the OFT worth the $500, YEP!!!!

Hope this helps with peoples decisions on a few of the aftermarket parts available. Can't wait till next year when the header and Crawford power blocks go on.

I went with angry, feels like it better describes how it now revs. Kinda of like the car is saying "get the @#$% out of my way!!!! Didn't use exciting because that is how the car has been since day 1.

Figured I'd keep this ridiculously long thread rollin'...

Just ordered my OFT and I'm very excited to get home and use it. I'm on vacation for the week, so I'm hoping that on Monday it will be in so I can install it and have some fun!

One question. I will be getting Speed Factory UEL Headers in September (hopefully). Will I just be able to download something from the website that will accommodate this new modification?

When it is installed, just switch to the stage 2 UEL tune.

I just installed stage 1 oft as well. My car blew first motor, dealer used a lot of gasked sealer on 2nd even sealed off oil passages. That was a grenade. Finally after 6 months they got a complete motor hand built and it runs like a bitch. Have power blocks ready to install. I will add header later on. How do I get stage 1.1? Download from vishnu? Before I lost first motor I had ecutek tune and p&l header. Would nose ahead of my friends focus st. I think oft tune is stronger than first ecutek Fwiw.

Who tuned your first motor? Sounds like they may have had something to do with it's demise

It's a good thing The tune that is. First motor lost rocker arms. Dealer claimed over revving but honored warranty. Yes first tune was ecutek with higher Rev limit. No more of that. Power blocks here we come.

Yep bad idea. Just flashed to stock and warrantied? Did you even remove the ecutek license our just flash stock tune?
