Much easier without having to worry about nicking my wheels. I did break one of the A clips on the amber markers tho

And the VLEDs HVA bulbs are insanely bright compared to stock:

Stock (decided to take a pic after I loosened the marker):

DJ friend keeps me up on things. I have been into turntablism since 94 or so. I do not dj. I am just the token white guy.

Well, now I have.

I'm not a huge fan of where turntablism has gone. A huge part of the appeal for me came from vinyl and all the accompanying idiosyncrasies. Serato and all that has followed feel like somebody playing guitar on a synth keyboard. Sure, they can now play 10 notes at a time, but it's not the same as a real guitar. Digital is no substitute.

Not guitar.

I did go to the DMC competition a couple months ago. It was here in Fremont. The US Finals is coming up soon in Oakland, but I'm not going, mainly because it's going to be a busy time for me.

Point taken. But some DJs can still do both:

Oh yeah. Most turntablists can do both. It's still not the same. Needle skips matter!

I also don't mean to put down DJ Brace. He does a great job. It just ends up feeling and sounding more like a mix tape than live performance. Mix tapes are awesome. They're just not live performance.

Damn, that is trippy and awesome at the same time. I never made the connection even though I grew playing both instruments.

that was really cool... but I know virtually nothing about DJing so I don't even know how much effort goes into doing something like that. Like how much of that was essentially playing a pre-made record that has the samples he uses, and how much is it actually him doing something? Sure I see him moving his hands and feet around doing stuff but I have no clue what's going on.

I dont know a ton about DJing but was always interested. Scratching has always been one of my favorite aspects so I never get tired of watching this

Qbert and Rob Swift are prob my favorites to listen to
