That is definitely not the one to which I am referring haha. I'm talking about Baby Steps, in which nothing remotely that silly happens, no one is embarrassingly awkward, no one gets groped on accident (with the groper getting punched through a wall), there is no beach or hot spring episode, and no shower/bath scenes. Power/skill scaling is natural and believable, and no one has any super powers.

The volleyball show is Haikyu, and similar to the above, it contains none of those tropes.

The best non-sport anime example I can come up with that defers from the typical path would be Space Brothers, a show about two brothers that dream of becoming astronauts and work towards that dream. If you like space and space stuff, I highly recommend it as well.

These three shows I would recommend to anyone, anime fan or not, but especially if they are not because these are basically normal shows that just so happen to be anime.

Disappointing me you are.
Natural necessity is not a need or a love. I put up with spiders because they perform a task that i stand to benefit from.

Watching baseball offers me no benefit, other than gaining weight and being less productive.

My friend's dad just died. I've known the friend and dad for 30 years. Dad was a good guy, a former Treasury agent. He was basically an old school cop. My friend is also my employee, so I get to cover pretty much all his work while he's gone for an indeterminate amount of time, probably through this week. So I'm unhappy about that too because my workload will just about triple, including a couple 13 hour days. But then I feel guilty for grumbling to myself when my friend just lost his father.

AND he's already thanked me twice for covering his job. AND I just know he's gonna thank me again for covering it when he returns.

The moral of this story is to not smoke. It makes you die early, right during prime grandchildren time.

Great find! Ordering one for my son for Christmas. He is a comic geek and that is a perfect addition to his kitchen.
