i've been dding mine for over a thousand miles and no issues at all and having lots of "fun" with the car. get the right tune and you get the most power and stability. hit up @Rich@ViscontiTuning if you sc.

I have DDed mine for right at 10,000 miles now and haven't had an issue. I just change the oil. I think this kit is good for regular duty because of the reasonable boost at low RPMs, but more serious power is only a downshift away. I don't know that this motor loves boost, but it definitely doesn't hate boost. Mine has sounded happy since I started feeding it compressed air.

And yeah, great sleeper. I think most have heard by now that the FR-S is not a fast car, it always seems like people are shocked when mine isn't slow at all.

This is a different Subie motor. Its the frist one of the new generation (FA, FB, etc.).

It certainly has shown to like boost so far...

Give me a few months ill tell ya :P. my ambient temperatures have been at least 95 on every drive for 1,500 miles with 90% of
My miles over 110f ambient, 120-150f pavement temps... This is my daily drive. If my car runs great I would think anyone else running it would. Gem who was previously banned has been daily driving, and tracking his car on even more boost and has been running fine. The proper tune is important. Look into Perrin and or fa20club as alternative aftermarket tuning.

So far the only big difference in maintenance is changing
The superchargers oil, and the belt is harder to get to as it is sandwiched between the supercharger and engine.

You could just remove the brake
Booster tap that is included and get one with two barbs. As there is already a line going to the bypass valve. That or Y it out.

However you don't really need one to detect over boost as it is a belt driven compressor. Personally I have a p3cars vent guage (fa20club sells them) that replaces the oem driver vent with a half vent / half multi use display. It uses the obd port and just reads the OEM map sensor. No hoses required! I however don't use it for boost reading. Just oil temp but it serves for multiple functions and can be used for diagnostic purposes.

An AFR gauge is much more important IMO. If you want both, there are combo gauges on the market. I have an AEM Failsafe going in once I get all the parts for the Vortech kit.

Drilled a 2 1/8 hole at a steep angle to get the gauge here. I did not want a pillar gauge so people don't know I'm boosted.

And yes I made that carbon fiber trim ring.

Nice work, what are your boost readings usually under WOT at higher RPM is it typically close to 9?
