I don't get the issue. If you downshifted at 7500rpm, you'd be doing about 10,000rpm on 4.1 or 9500rpm with your 5.1.

How about another example. You can't downshift at 7000 RPM while braking. Or even 6500 RPM. Or 6000 RPM. Or 5000 RPM. It doesn't happen quickly enough so you're still in the wrong gear when you want to get back on throttle.
