haha. turns out i have to pull my blower again to verify those two strip seals between the IC and the supercharger are seated correctly. I figured that i may as well replace them with quality replacements while i've got it out.

Also going to pull the manifold when I do it this time to see if that method is any easier.

Damn really? Is that what Bill said to do?

Those strip seals stayed in there perfect for me when I applied some dielectric grease on them. I had to pull the sc off after i placed it down the first time, and they were stuck on there nice. Never moved.

It may be easier, but I didn't want to go through the trouble of disconnecting all the fuel lines, then the injector covers, etc. But, it probably would have been faster seeing as those 2-3 bolts gave me a huge problem getting them off since they were in there tight, and you only have so much room with an allen key.

Who said catch cans do nothing? A properly designed (read: good baffle plate or media) can will absolutely help raise effective octane due to less oil blow by making its way into the combustion chamber...as your mate very thoroughly explains.

After switching back to the stock injectors from the DW700's, to verifying the stock injectors were seated properly, i've gotten pretty comfortable with removing the covers, disconnecting the fuel lines and rails, etc. something tells me after that it'll be much easier to verify everything is situated properly.

Do you have pictures of the replacement clamps they sent you?

Why did you switch back from the DWs?

My tuner preferred them, the car runs much better on them and i've got quite a bit of headroom before i need more volume (i should be a good bit under the 350whp the stock injectors are good for)

good point, having the complete unit off is always the best way to it anyway. I actually at one point almost pulled it off but I was so far into it that I refused to haha.

I don't have a pic but I can take one later if you really want. But they just look like the standard worm drive clamp like this:

I'm going to E85 soon. I'm planning on using the DW700s and a DW pump. I'm thinking I'll need mine. I'm currently pushing 277hp at the wheels on the 70mm pulley non-intercooled and spraying meth. My tuner uses BRZedit though.

Was the drivability that much worse? I'm guessing you're using ECUtek?

Do yourself a favor and put a hose clamp on the tube that goes to the PCV/crankcase vent.. its almost impossible to get to it with the blower on.. Mine didn't have one originally and I had a small vacuum leak from it.

You know I accidentally pulled that line up and almost off when working on putting my IC on. I was thinking of how to get a clamp on there, but then said F it because I couldn't reach in there.

I will probably spend 3 hours trying to fish a clamp on there and somehow tighten it instead of just taking the supercharger off.. lol

Even e85 of the 70mm you should be fine, that's what I run. It just depends on your tuner. Drivability wasn't BAD on the DW's, just felt a lot more like a factory tune with the stock injectors. Look at some of @DeliciousTuning's old posts about injector needs.
